Krishna consciousness is more than another sectarian faith. It is a technical science of spiritual values that is described and recommended in the ancient Vedic scriptures from ancient India. The aim of the Krsna consciousness movement is to reveal to the people of the world, the principles of God and in turn Self- realization so that they may derive the highest benefits of spiritual understanding, unity and peace.

The Vedas recommend that in the present age the most effective means of achieving self-realization is to constantly hear about, glorify and remember the all-good supreme Lord, who is known by numerous names. The most important names in this age ‘Krsna’, which means ‘he who is all attractive’, another is ‘Rama’ which means ‘He who is the reservoir of all pleasure’, and ‘Hare’ indicates the inconceivable energy of the Lord.

The members of ISKCON follow the recommendation in the Vedic scriptures and are seen constantly seen chanting Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare / Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. This sublime chanting puts us in direct contact with the Supreme Lord through the transcendental sound vibration, of his holy names and gradually awakens us to our original and eternal relationship with God.

The primary mission of ISKCON is to encourage all of the members of the human society, to devote at least some portion of their time and energies to this process of hearing and chanting about God. In this way they will eventually come to the realization that all living beings are spirit souls, eternally related to the Supreme Lord in service and in Love.

वैदिक ग्रंथों में इस्कॉन के सदस्यों सिफारिश का पालन कर रहे हैं और लगातार हरे कृष्ण कृष्ण हरे कृष्ण कृष्ण हरे / हरे हरे राम हरे राम राम राम हरे हरे जप देखा देखा. इस उदात्त जप हमें सुप्रीम भगवान के साथ सीधे संपर्क में ट्रान्सेंडैंटल ध्वनि कंपन के माध्यम से कहते हैं, अपने पवित्र नामों की और धीरे - धीरे हमें भगवान के साथ हमारे मूल और शाश्वत रिश्ते को जागता है। 

इस्कॉन के प्राथमिक मिशन के लिए मानव समाज के सदस्यों के सभी को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए, सुनवाई और भगवान के बारे में जप की इस प्रक्रिया को कम से कम अपने समय और ऊर्जा के कुछ हिस्से को समर्पित है. इस तरह वे अंततः साकार करने के लिए आया है कि सभी जीवित प्राणियों भावना, आत्मा सदा सेवा में और प्यार में सुप्रीम भगवान से संबंधित हैं।

श्री कृष्ण जी के पुत्र का नाम क्या है ?, क्या श्री भगवान कृष्ण जी के १६००० पत्नियाँ थी?

श्री कृष्ण जी की केवल एक ही पत्नी थी जो की रुक्मणी थी, उनकी २ या ३ या१६००० पत्नियाँ होने का सवाल ही पैदा नहीं होता. रुक्मणी से विवाह के पश्चात श्री कृष्ण रुक्मणी के साथ बदरिक आश्रम चले गए और १२ वर्ष तक तप एवं ब्रहमचर्य का पालन करने के पश्चात उनका एक पुत्र हुआ जिसका नाम प्रदुमन था. यह श्री कृष्ण के चरित्र के साथ अन्याय हैं की उनका नाम १६००० गोपियों के साथ जोड़ा जाता हैं. महाभारत के श्री कृष्ण जैसा अलोकिक पुरुष , जिसे कोई पाप नहीं किया और पापियों का नाश करने के लिए पृथ्वी पर कभी-कभी श्री कृष्ण जी जन्म लेता हैं.रुकमनी के रूप में राधा जनम लेती है। 

राधा नाम से 
राधा का अर्थ है सफ़लता | यजुर्वेद के प्रथम अध्याय का पांचवा मंत्र, ईश्वर से सत्य को स्वीकारने तथा असत्य को त्यागने के लिए दृढ़प्रतिज्ञ रहने में सफ़लता की कामना करता है | कृष्ण अपनी जिंदगी में इन दृढ़ संकल्पों और संयम का मूर्तिमान आदर्श थे | पश्चात किसी ने किसी समय में इस राधा (सफ़लता) को मूर्ति में ढाल लिया | उसका आशय ठीक होगा परंतु उसी प्रक्रिया में ईश्वर पूजा के मूलभूत आधार से हम भटक गये, तुरंत बाद में अतिरंजित। 

कल्पनाओं को छूट दे गई और राधा को स्त्री के रूप में गढ़ लिया, यह प्रवृत्ति निरंतर जारी रही तो कृष्ण के बारे में अपनी पत्नी के अलावा अन्य स्त्री के साथ व्यभिचार चित्रित करनेवाली कहानियां शास्त्रो मे गढ़ ली गयीं और यह खेल। 

चालू रहा । महान कृष्ण जी महाराज पर कोई व्यर्थ का आक्षेप न लगाये एवं साधारण जनों को श्री कृष्ण जी महाराज के लिए पुराणों और भागवत में कही 
गयी अनर्गल और मिथ्या बाते जो कृष्ण के चरित्र को कलंकित करती हैं उनका
कोई औचित्य नहीं है।

शिक्षक दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनायें जिसने हमको जीवन - जीना सिखाया

जी हाँ मै बात कर रही हूँ " शिक्षक दिवस " 5 सितम्बर 2012 की

शिक्षक दिवस "  आज के दिन हमारे देश के सर्वश्रेष्ठ शिक्षक " श्री डा. सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन " के जन्मदिन के उपलक्ष्य में मनाते है। 

" शिक्षक दिवस " का यह शुभ दिन हमारे आदरणीय शिक्षक ने जो जीवन और ज्ञान का उपहार प्रदान किया है - उसके प्रति कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करने के लिए है। 

श्रीला प्रभुपदा महाराज जी भी इसी तरह हमारे धर्म गुरु है, 

इनके गुरुत्व में कोई कमी नहीं है, 

इनकी शिक्षा अतुलनीय है, इनके पास शिक्षा, सत गुरु का लाभ, ज्ञान का भण्डार है, 

इनकी ज्ञान की शिक्षा इतनी है की मुर्दा भी जिंदा हो जाये,

और हर बीमार व्यक्ति इनके हरी नाम से स्वस्थ हो जाते है, 

हम मनुष्य जितना भी शिक्षा प्राप्त करे उतना कम पड़ता है,

शिक्षा का कोई उम्र और बंधन नहीं होता और ना ही कोई धरम करम होता है, 

श्रीला प्रभुपदा जी ने हमे हर कष्ट का एक ही दावा बताया है, 

वो है हरी नाम, हरी नाम पुकारने से हमारे मन को शान्ति मिलता है, 

और हरी नाम से भुत, प्रेत, कु-विचार, आचार, कु-संस्कार और प्रथा दूर हो जाते है, 

प्रभुपदा महाराज जी की शिक्षा अतुलनीय है हमारे जीवन में ।

शिक्षक दिवस " आज के दिन " आदरणीय शिक्षक " को उपहार और भेंट अर्पित कर सम्मानित करना चाहिए जिससे हमें " शिक्षक ऋण " से मुक्ति मिल सके 

शिक्षक " अर्थात ' गुरु ' शास्त्रों में " गु " का अर्थ बताया गया है- अंधकार या मूल अज्ञान और " रु " का अर्थ है- उसका निरोधक। " गुरु " को गुरु इसलिए कहा जाता है कि वह अज्ञान तिमिर का ज्ञानांजन-शलाका से निवारण कर देता है। अर्थात अंधकार को हटाकर प्रकाश की ओर ले जाने वाले को 'गुरु' कहा जाता है। गुरु तथा देवता में समानता के लिए एक प्राचीन ग्रंथ में कहा गया है - कि जैसी भक्ति की आवश्यकता देवता के लिए है वैसी ही गुरु के लिए भी बल्कि " श्रीगुरु " की कृपा से ईश्वर का साक्षात्कार भी संभव है। गुरु की कृपा के अभाव में कुछ भी संभव नहीं है। 

शिक्षक जैसे सूर्य के ताप से तप्त भूमि को वर्षा से शीतलता एवं फसल पैदा करने की शक्ति मिलती है, ऐसे ही शिक्षक के सानिध्य में विद्यार्थियों को ज्ञान, शांति, भक्ति और योग शक्ति प्राप्त करने की शक्ति मिलती है। 
शिक्षक " माँ " हमें ऊँगली पकड़ कर चलना सिखाती है लेकिन " शिक्षक " हमें किस रास्ते पर कैसे चलना है - ये सिखाता है। 

शिक्षक " हमारे हर सवाल का ज़बाव अपने ज्ञान के प्रकाश से देता है हमको जीवन जीने का ढंग सिखाता है। 
आइये " आदरणीय शिक्षक " के प्रति अपनी श्रद्धा एवं अपनत्व प्रकट करने के लिए इस " शिक्षक दिवस " को पूर्ण आस्था के साथ मनावे और अपने " श्री शिक्षक " के चरणों में वंदन करे

Krishna Kirtana is not for earning livelihood. Krishna Kirtana is not meant for entertaining the public for demonstration of arts. It is dynamic service to the Lord. 

We do not therefore mind so much about the artistic presentation of Krishna Kirtana but we want to see how much a devotee is satisfying the Supreme Will.

Happy Onam (Thiruvonam - Day Ten)

Thiruvonam Aashamsakal ! 

The enchanting state of Kerala reverberates with the chants of Onaashmsakal, "To everyone, Onam Wishes" as people exchange warm greetings of the occasion on the tenth and the most important day of the carnival of Onam. People believe that it is on Thiru Onam that the spirit of legendary King Mahabali visits the state of Kerala. 

Activities begin early in the morning. People clean their house, take early bath, wear new clothes and participate in special prayers organised in individual homes and then in local temples. Later a very special and the biggest of all days Pookalam is prepared to welcome Maveli. Clay mounds in the shape of pyramids representing Lord Vishnu and Mahabali are prepared and placed in front of the Pookalam. 

In the noon the grand feast of Onam called Onasadya is prepared. The strictly vegetarian meal consists of 11 - 13 mandatory dishes and is served on a banana leaf. The eldest member of the family presents gifts and new clothes to the family members. 

Various cultural events are organised all over the state to mark the day. Dances, games, shows and get together are the other highlights of the day. Patassu (fire crackers) are also burnt to celebrate the occasion. 

There are some rituals also marked for the eleventh and twelfth day called Avittom and Chatayam or Chathayam respectively. But the major celebrations get over on the tenth and the most important day of Thiruvonam.

ADIKA MASA PAVITRA EKADASHI

On 18th August the Purushottam Month started. It is a special month and very dear to Krsna. When the full moon occurs twice in a month, i.e. in less then 29 solar days then the month is divided into 2 and a leap month is added. This leap month is known as Adika mas or Purushottama month and occurs about every 3 years. This year it started on the 18th August 2012 and finishes on the 16th Sep 2012. It is equal to performing 16 Kartik Vratas and therefore it is a very good time to engage in full devotional service.

The following description was sent by Bhanu Maharaja for the previous Purushottama Vrata:

The main vrata is to worship Radha Krishna Yugala

Rise Brahma-muhurta DAILY (meaning 1,5 hours before sunrise till 1 hour; if sunrise at 6am then bm starts 4:30 goes to about 5 a.m.) Means taking rest EARLY night before.

Take vow to REMAIN TRUTHFUL for whole month.

Careful not to BLASPHEME any devotee, sastra, brahmin, cows, saints, or one observing the Purusottama Vrata.

Fixed increased chanting 25, 32, 64,128 rounds daily!

Hearing hari katha (Study Krishna Book (chapters dealing with Vraja lila and Krishna meeting gopis at kuruksetra) SB& CC specifically desc. RK guna and lila) and/or speaking daily hari-katha

Worshiping Radha Krishna, which means, unless you have deity with you, then daily offer fresh first class lotus or rose plus tulasi = garlands to Radhe Shyam photo or painting of Radha-Govinda Yugal. If worship Salagrama (could apply to Radha-Govinda also) offer 100,000 tulasi leaves and achieve “unlimited merit beyond the powers of Brahma to describe.”

Sing bhajans and kirtans specifically glorifying Yugala Kishora. Such as Jaya Radha Madhava; Radhe jaya jaya madhava dayite; radha-krishna prana mora; Radha-krpa kataksa (in back our radhakunda book or in Giti Guccha song book; also sing Nandanandana Astakam (also in Giti Guccha song book); jaya radha madana mohan.. sanatana prana dhana he; jaya madhava madana murari radhe shyam shyama shyam; radha-krsna bol bol bolo re sobhai; vrndavana ramya sthana; tulasi arotik prayers with deep prayer of longing and meditation;

MUST OFFER Daily GHEE (pure cow’s ghee only) lamp to Radha-Krishna Deity or photo.

Bathe DAILY in Yamuna around sunrise. Or if not in holy land then pour drops on head from bottle of Radha-kunda water or Yamuna after offering obeisances and prayers to Radha-kunda or Yamuna.

Eating–Fast till noon and eat only fruits or just vegetables without any beans or grains. (like ekadasi preps for one month!) once a day if you can. Or just eat maha-prasadam, full to neck ONCE A DAY. Take a vow according to your capacity to follow, and in no condition can one break his vow in the middle of the month.

सभी शहीदों की अरमान आज चूर - चूर हो गया है इस वतन में,ऐसे अमर ज्योति इस दुनिया में दुबारा कभी जन्म न लेंगे क्यूंकि अब पापियों का जन्म होने लगा है, 

शहीदों का खून इस धरती में जहा कही भी गिरा, 

उन शहीदों को अपने आँचल का सहारा दिया है माँ तुने, 

अब इन भ्रष्टाचारी खूनियों को कौन सहारा देगा ? 

क्या माँ तुम यही चाहोगी की तुम्हारे ही भ्रष्टाचारियों संतान तुम्हारे सिने में और तुम्हारे आँचल के तले भ्रष्टाचार का राज करे

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण को प्रेम का अवतार माना जाता है ! उन्होंने इस दुनिया को प्रेम का सच्चा पाठ पढ़ाया ! जब-जब भी असुरों के अत्याचार बढ़े हैं और धर्म का पतन हुआ है तब-तब भगवान ने पृथ्वी पर अवतार लेकर सत्य और धर्म की स्थापना की है। इसी कड़ी में भाद्रपद माह की कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी को मध्यरात्रि को अत्याचारी कंस का विनाश करने के लिए मथुरा में भगवान कृष्ण ने अवतार लिया। चूँकि भगवान स्वयं इस दिन पृथ्वी पर अवतरित हुए थे अतः इस दिन को कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी अथवा जन्माष्टमी के रूप में मनाते हैं। इस दिन स्त्री-पुरुष रात्रि बारह बजे तक व्रत रखते हैं। इस दिन मंदिरों में झाँकियाँ सजाई जाती हैं और भगवान कृष्ण को झूला झुलाया जाता है। प्रेम के प्रतीक भगवान् के जन्मदिन को सच्ची लगन एवं प्रेम भावना के साथ अपने पूरे परिवार के साथ मनाएं !

~ ~ अद्भुद सपना राधे रानी का ~ ~

 एक सुबह श्री राधे और कृष्ण जी निधुवन में सो रहे थे जो की चारो ओर से उनके सखियों द्वारा घिरा हुआ था , जब अचानक राधा रानी रोते हुए उठी , राधा रानी ने श्याम सुन्दर से कहा , ओ प्राणनाथ ! जागो ! मैंने सबसे अद्भुद सपना देखा है । मैंने देखा , की एक निष्पक्ष युवा जिसका शारीर एक उज्जवल सोने के तरह चमक रहा था । मैंने ऐसा दृश्य कभी नहीं देखा । सुन्दरता के लड़ाई में , उसका भव्य आंकड़ा केमवेदा के विशाल संख्या को जीत जायेगा । वह एक मधुर ख़ुशी के जीत में एक राज कुमार के तरह आनंदित रहा ।

 उनका कोमल , सुनहरा शारीर अलंकृत था आनंद , जवाहरात से जैसे कांप रहे थे , उज्जवल पुलकित सन - सनाहट के साथ आंसुओं के रूप में बह रहा था । उनका ऐसा अनुपम रूप देख कर , सारे सुन्दरता और चमक से उनका घर उज्जवल हो गया , मेरे आँखें थिरक गए और दिल अपना सूद खो दिया और धड़कने लगा ।

 राधा रानी उद्वेग से रोई , ओ प्राण - नाथ ! अन्य पुरुष को देख कर मेरा मन क्यों थिरक रहा है ? जनम से लेकर आज तक मैंने चलते चलते ऐसा दृश्य कभी नहीं देखा , सपने में या गहरे नींद में तुम्हारा सुन्दर शारीर को मैंने देखा , मानसून के काले बादलों में बारिश होने को तैयार , एक गहरा कुआँ रस से भरा है , अब क्यूँ ऐसा विचित्र उत्क्रमण घटित हो रहा है ? मैंने अपने जीवन काल में वृन्दावन में ऐसा सत पुरुष या देवता नहीं देखा , वृक्ष्य , आत्माएं और तथा नारायण खुद । मेरा मन उन्हें देख कर कभी संतुष्ट नहीं हुआ , मगर इस गौरंग ने मेरा दिल चुरा लिया है , वो हरी नाम जपते चला गया ।जैसे ही उसने बोला राधा रानी मुघ्ध हो गई , फिर रसिका नागर श्री कृष्ण राधा रानी को गले से लगाते हुए उन्हें बार बार मधुर चुम्बन देते रहे । हे प्राण नाथ उठिए ! और बताइये आखिर वो गौरंग है कौन ?

 ~ ~ Amazing Dream Of Radhe Rani ~ ~

 One morning Priyā-Priyatama were sleeping in Nidhuvan surrounded by their dear sakhīs, when suddenly Rādhārāṇī woke up crying. Rādhārāṇī said to Śyāmasundar, O Prāṇanāth! Wake up! I have had the most amazing dream.“I dreamt I saw a fair youth with a body bright as gold which was shining. I have never seen such sight like this. In a battle of beauty, his gorgeous figure would conquer a legion of kāmadevas. He was full of sweetest joy, the prince of bliss (rasarāja).

 “His tender golden body was ornamented with bliss-jewels like shivering, horripolation and tears as he sang and danced in madness. Seeing his incomparable form, his home of all loveliness and radiance has brightened , my eyes were soothed and my heart lost its interest and started beating.”

 Rādhārāṇī anxiously cried, “O Prāṇa - Naath! Why does my mind yearn so much for this other boy? From the day I was born until today I have known nothing in waking, dreams or deep sleep but your beautiful body, dark as a monsoon cloud ready to rain , a deep well brimming with rasa. Why now this strange reversal? In my life here in Vṛndāvan I have seen men and devatas, sylvan sprites and even Narāyaṇa himself. Seeing them never satisfied my mind, but this Gaurāṅga has stolen my heart!” He went on chanting hari naam , O pran nath wake up ! and tell me who is this gaurang ?
 As she spoke Rādhārāṇī fell into a deep swoon.Then rasika-nāgara Śrī Kṛṣṇa embraced Rādhārāṇī and kissed her again and again

 Also referred to as the Gundicha Jatra, Ghosa Jatra, Navadina Jatra or Dasavatara Jatra, the Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra, the most important festival of Lord Jagannath, starts on 21st June 2012, and lasts 10 days in the beach-city of Puri which is about 65 kms south of the Odisha State Capital – Bhubaneshwar. Puri ranks one of the top places in India for Hindu pilgrimage and religious tourism.
 This Rath Yatra is one of the most colourful, elaborate and grand Hindu festivals in India which attracts millions of devotees from all over India as well as abroad as this Yatra occurs just once a year and because this Darshan is considered very auspicious.


 The Yatra comprises one of the largest processions of the world with millions of people pulling and following 50-foot high ornate and decorated wooden chariots on which Lord Jagannath – the Lord of the Universe, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra are paraded throughout the city to give Darshan to all their Devotees. It is said that those who participate in the Jagannath Yatra in Puri earn their ‘passage’ to heaven.
 For 15 days prior to the Yatra, 'Snana Pumima' marks the beginning of the Jagannath festival, when the three deities - Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra are given a bath post which they are left in isolation for 15 days - called the period of 'Anabasara' when no public worship is performed. Post 15 days of isolation, the Gods and the Goddess are brought out of the 11th Century-built Jagannath temple in a colourful and musical procession amidst thousands of devotees to board their respective Chariots and then begins the "Rath Yatra'.

 इस रथ यात्रा में सबसे रंगीन, विस्तृत और भव्य भारत में हिंदू त्योहार है जो पूरे भारत से लाखों श्रद्धालुओं के साथ ही विदेश में आकर्षित के रूप में यह यात्रा एक साल सिर्फ एक बार होता है और क्योंकि यह दर्शन बहुत शुभ माना जाता है में से एक है.


 ब्रह्मांड के भगवान, भगवान बलभद्र और देवी सुभद्रा के शहर भर में पेश कर रहे हैं जिससे यात्रा के लाखों लोगों को खींच रहा है और 50 फुट उच्च अलंकृत और सजाया लकड़ी के रथ पर जो भगवान जगन्नाथ के साथ दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा जुलूस के शामिल अपने सभी भक्तों को दर्शन. यह कहा कि जो पुरी में जगन्नाथ यात्रा में भाग लेने के उनके स्वर्ग 'बीतने कमाने है.
